According to a report by the Belleville News-Democrat, Cohakia High School (Illinois) baseball coach Demetrius Combs, 33, has been indicted on multiple drug-related charges by the U.S. Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.

Combs, who is pleading not guilty after being arrested on Sep. 25, has been brought up on multiple criminal charges of possession and distribution. The indictment alleges that Combs sold drugs between June and August 2023. A motion from federal prosecutors alleges Combs sold drugs to an undercover St. Louis County police officer on three separate occasions.

Also in the report, court records show that agents executed a warrant to search Combs’ home and found “multiple firearms, two cell phones, thousands of dollars in cash, a pill press, fentanyl, meth and drug paraphernalia.”

The Comanches are coming off a 1-16 campaign from the 2024-25 season and have recorded an overall record of 5-68 over the course of the last five years since 2020.

The Cahokia School District told the Belleville News-Democrat that Combs resigned his position with the school district last year.
