Indiana High School Football Top 25 Rankings - Oct. 7

The Hoosier State has closed in on the middle point of the high school football season and a bundle of results have shaken up the state’s Top 25 rankings.
Brownsburg continues proving to everyone that they’re the state’s No. 1 team after a 38-6 win over Zionsville last week. Who else makes the cut when it comes to Indiana high school football teams?
The Massey Ratings, officially used during the BCS era, is a model that ranks sports teams by analyzing game outcomes, strength of schedule, and margin of victory.
Here is the latest Indiana high school football Top 25 rankings, according to Massey as of Oct. 7.
1. Brownsburg Bulldogs
The Brownsburg Bulldogs (6-0) have have remained the top team when it comes to 2025 Indiana high school football, but their resolve was tested a week and a half ago as they barely got by No. 4 Westfield in a 14-10 battle.
Every victory has been impressive in their own right, with the regular season opener setting the tone that this Bulldogs team is a viable nationally ranked team in the country. Brownsburg has received stellar play on both sides of the ball, including from quarterback Oscar Fyre, who has thrown for 1,332 yards and 20 touchdowns this fall. Junior wide receiver Branden Sharpe has been Fyre’s favorite target, totaling 565 yards and eight touchdowns.
Brownsburg is back on the road this week when they take on Noblesville (1-4).
2. Carmel Greyhounds
Carmel (6-1) suffered their first loss of the season a few weeks ago after falling to Kentucky’s No. 1 team Trinity and have taken it out on the following three opponents. The Greyhounds have out-scored Columbus North, North Central and Ben Davis to the tune of 162-21 in the last few of weeks.
What has been more impressive is the way they are doing it as the Greyhounds are leaning heavily on their ground attack, led by a pair of running backs in Andrew Pemberton (657 yards) and Ayden Johnson (357 yards). Troy commit Anthony Coellner has totaled 1,625 all-purpose yards and 23 total touchdowns through seven games.
The Greyhounds look to make it four straight wins when they face No. 10 Warren Central (5-2).
3. Westfield Shamrocks
Westfield (5-2) had their chance to knock off top-ranked Brownsburg and had the No. 1 team on their toes. The Shamrocks came up just short in a 14-10 loss to the Bulldogs, which Westfield dropped their second game of the season. Westfield bounced back with a 38-21 win over Avon last week.
The Shamrocks has relied on its offensive front to control the line of scrimmage as they feature a pair of Division I recruits in 6-foot-6, 260-pound Malachi Mills (Kansas commit) and 6-foot-2, 280-pound Job Maverick (Ohio commit). The pair of offensive linemen have paved the way for well over 2,300 yards of offense this season.
The Shamrocks have another tough test this week when they face No. 7 Fishers (5-2).
4. Center Grove Trojans
Center Grove falls to the fourth spot in this week’s rankings after losing 21-15 to Cathedral last week.
The Trojans features a slew of Division I prospects on the team, including tight end Dominick Barry (Wake Forest commit), quarterback Oscar Sloan (977 yards, eight TDs), offensive lineman CJ Scifres (Indiana commit) and defensive stalwart Kobe Cherry (Purdue commit). Sophomore running back Ricky Lange has powered the offense with his 510 yards and six touchdowns this season.
