Iowa High School Football: Playoff matchups set for Class A-2A, 8-player

Playoff time is already here in Iowa high school football.

While the bigger classifications are still finishing their regular seasons, Class 2A, 1A, A and the 8-player teams are preparing for their opening round postseason games. For the first game, teams are matched up based on their finish in district play. The district champion, district runner-up, district third-place team and the district fourth-place team qualify for the playoffs in classes 2A, 1A and A. As for 8-Player, the district champion, district runner-up, the district third-place team and two wild card teams make the playoffs.

32 teams make the field in each classification, hoping to make it all the way to the UNI Dome in Cedar Falls next month. Check out each opening-round matchup below:
