Jared Curtis ranks second among the Class of 2026 high school football prospects

There’s some shakeup in the Class of 2026 high school football prospects as quarterback Jared Curtis now ranks second in the overall list behind offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell. The five-star QB committed to the Georgia Bulldogs last month over Oregon, Alabama, and Tennessee, among others.
Immanuel Ihenacho, the offensive tackle from Georgetown Prep, previously occupied the second spot. With Cantwell committing to the University of Miami, Iheanacho becomes the top uncommitted prospect among high school seniors.
Meanwhile, Jared Curtis will play his final high school football year for Tennessee’s Nashville Christian. During his junior season, Curtis made 179 completions for 2,820 passing yards and 40 touchdowns. Likewise, he added 88 carries for 636 yards and 18 rushing touchdowns for the Eagles.
These numbers helped Nashville Christian finish the season with a 12-1 record, including a ten-game winning streak. The Eagles ended their campaign with a 49-21 victory over Columbia Academy for the Tennessee Division II Class A state championship. Likewise, that achievement earned him the Tennessee Gatorade Football Player of the Year award and the Tennessee Mr. Football award.

Through three seasons, Jared Curtis has 483 completions for 7,665 yards and 92 touchdowns. He also added 252 carries for 1,663 rushing yards and 38 touchdowns.
A part of On3’s Charles Power’s scouting report about Curtis reads, “Generates considerable velocity on throws to all areas of the field. Has a loose, natural throwing motion. Capable of delivering impressive passes from several arm angles. A pure rotational athlete who does not need his feet set to throw accurate passes. Plays with a gunslinging mentality and is not afraid to drive the football into tight windows over the middle of the field. A fluid athlete who is tough to corral in the backfield. Dangerous playmaker and improviser. Had some unbelievable second reaction plays as a junior, evading pass rushers and uncorking throws 50+ yards downfield.”
Power compared Jared Curtis’s game to the two-time NFL Pro Bowler and Super Bowl champion Matthew Stafford.
