Kai Trump, granddaughter of President Donald Trump, signs with Miami women's golf

Kai Trump, the granddaughter of President Donald Trump, officially signed with the Miami women’s golf team on Wednesday.
The 18-year-old has a massive social media following and has been committed to the Hurricanes for some time. Miami women’s golf head coach Janice Olivencia commented on Trump’s addition to the team early Wednesday morning:
“Kai will bring tremendous energy and excitement to Miami. She’s a multi-sport athlete with a strong competitive spirit and a true love for the game of golf. Kai is very committed to her growth, both as a player and as a person, and her emphasis on development will continue to lead her to new heights. Kai has big goals for Canes golf, with the work ethic to match.”
This is a big week for Trump, as she’s now officially headed to Coral Gables and is also making her LPGA Tour debut. Trump is competing as a sponsor’s exemption in The ANNIKA, hosted by legendary women’s golfer Annika Sorenstam, at Pelican Golf Club in Belair, Florida.
“My dream has been to compete with the best in the world on the LPGA Tour, and I am thrilled to be able to compete at The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican in November,” Kai Trump said in a release, per CBS Sports. “This event will be an incredible experience. I look forward meeting and competing against so many of my heroes and mentors in golf as I make my LPGA Tour debut.”
