Kansas High School Football Rankings: Top 25 Teams - Oct. 28

The high school football season continued in Kansas last week, as many of the top programs in the Sunflower State were in action. Plenty of interesting results followed.

Another jam-packed slate is on deck as teams continue their quests for a state title. Below are the top 25 Kansas high school football teams, according to the Massey Ratings, as of Oct. 28.

1. Andale Indians

The Indians’ dominant run continues with a 57-0 shutout against Hesston. It’s the second time in three games in which Andale blanked their opponent, and the third time this season, including their 104-0 beatdown of El Dorado. The Indians will finish the 2025 Kansas high school football regular season against Chapman on October 30.

2. St. Thomas Aquinas Saints

After losing to Rockhurst, the Saints have won two in a row after defeating Blue Valley North 34-6. Carson Patrick threw for 108 passing yards and two touchdowns, while Colton McGlinn finished with 162 rushing yards and a touchdown. Xavier Bachamp added 80 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Arthur Witherspoon had a couple of receiving TDs. St. Thomas Aquinas will play Turner on October 30.

3. St. James Academy Thunder

The Thunder improved to 7-1 after a 39-24 victory against Blue Valley West. Jake House rushed for 172 yards and two touchdowns, while John Hornback added a couple of rushing TDs. On defense, Andy Devers had two sacks. St. James Academy will finish the 2025 Kansas high school football regular season against Shawnee Heights on October 31.

4. Maize Eagles

The Eagles kept their spotless record after a 50-0 shutout of Salina South. Brayden Myovela had two passing touchdowns, while Shannon Jones had 101 rushing yards and a TD. Malachi Leichner caught for 45 receiving yards and two TDs. Meanwhile, the Maize defense completed five interceptions, with Brodie Jep Jarvis making a hat trick. The Eagles will face Wichita North for their regular season finale on the 31st.

5. Mill Valley Jaguars

The Jaguars have started another winning streak after defeating Shawnee Mission North 49-14. Max Piva had 172 rushing yards and a touchdown, while Ryan Helm added 102 rushing yards and a TD. Mill Valley will close the 2025 Kansas high school football season against Blue Valley on the last day of October.
