Kentucky High School Football Rankings: Top 25 Teams - Nov. 18

The 2025 Kentucky high school football season is in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA) playoffs and teams are making a deep push towards the state championship.
Nothing has changed at the top as Trinity Shamrocks has continued as Kentucky’s No. 1 team, with Boyle County, Christian Academy of Louisville, St. Xavier, South Warren and coming in behind them. Who else makes the cut in this week’s latest set of Kentucky high school football rankings as the playoffs head into the state quarterfinal round?
The Massey Ratings, officially used during the BCS era, is a model that ranks sports teams by analyzing game outcomes, strength of schedule, and margin of victory.
Here is the latest Kentucky high school football Top 25 rankings, according to Massey as of Nov. 18.
1. Trinity Shamrocks
The Trinity Shamrocks (10-2) have been simply dominant through the first two rounds of Kentucky’s KHSAA Class 6A playoffs, defeating Simon Kenton last week, 50-0.
The Shamrocks will aim for rare three-peat in 2025, which they have opened the postseason with some dominant performances, including a 56-0 victory over Great Crossing and shutting out Simon Kenton. Now Trinity will turn its attention to Madison Central in the state quarterfinals.
They will need players like quarterback Zane Johnson, running back Jamaurion Berry and wide receiver Sekou Kamara to fuel what is one of Kentucky’s most potent offenses. If Trinity can pull off a win this week against St. Xavier (Ohio), there’s a strong chance they could win out the rest of the way.
2. Christian Academy of Louisville Centurions
Christian Academy of Louisville (11-0) have arguably been the top team in the state with the way they’ve been playing as of late. A 48-3 rout of De Sales last week in the Class 3A playoffs added more support to that narrative as they take on Union County in the state quarterfinals this week.
The Centurions started the season off winning three straight blowout victories, including wins over Lexington Christian Academy and Owensboro, respectively. They added also impressive victories in with a 34-27 decision over Ryle and a 55-6 rout of Central Hardin.
Christian Academy of Louisville has been one of the more dominant teams in the state as they feature a loaded roster, led by four-star sophomore defensive lineman Kellan Hall. The Centurions also have talents like senior defensive back Stone Perkins (Ball State commit) and linebacker Chapman Russell on defense.
3. St. Xavier Tigers
St. Xavier (8-3) have now won six consecutive games after they continued through Class 6A playoffs with a 50-20 win over Bullitt East last week.
Right out of the gates to kickoff the 2025 season, St. Xavier started with a 38-7 win over Owensboro. The Tigers have since then had a bye week before pulling off dominant victories over Bowling Green and Louisville Male, respectively. Despite the three losses to their record, the Tigers made a bump up in this latest set of Kentucky high school football rankings.
The Tigers continue the KHSAA 6A playoffs heading into the state quarterfinals against storied Louisville Male, one of the country’s winningest high school football programs.

4. South Warren Spartans
South Warren (11-0) has looked unstoppable at times and in the second round of the Class 6A playoffs, they couldn’t be in a 51-23 victory over Hopkinsville. The Spartans look to reach the state semis when they take on Henderson County (6-6) this week.
When it comes to playmakers on the offensive end making things happen for the Spartans, quarterback Camden Page and running back Kayden York have been the two main contributors thus far. Page has thrown for 1,909 yards and 20 touchdowns and York has totaled 717 and 17 scores on the ground. Junior defensive back Isaiah Bridges has led a stout South Warren defense with five interceptions.
5. Boyle County Rebels
The Boyle County Rebels (11-1) has had a pair of blowout wins to start the Class 4A p;ayoffs, out-scoring opponents by a combined 94-6 through two games.
Boyle County aims to make it nine consecutive victories when they face off against No. 7 ranked Covington Catholic this week’s state quarterfinal tilt.
Regaining the Class 4A state title will be Boyle County’s foremost goal this year. The Rebels’ tight end duo of Seneca Driver and Maddox Hager is crucial if Boyle County wants to make a serious run at winning another state championship.
