LBJ (Texas) football team forced to forfeit all 11 wins from 2024

According to a report by the Austin American-Statesman’s Caleb Yum, the LBJ (Texas) Jaguars football program is being forced to forfeit all 11 of its 2024 victories due to use of an ineligible player.
The Jaguars finished 11-1 last year in Texas’ UIL Class 4A, Division 1, losing to La Vernia in the playoffs.
Per Yum, the penalties handed down to LBJ were announced at a UIL District Executive Committee meeting Thursday with coaches.
Due to the vacating of all of its wins, Taylor High School will be awarded the Class 4A, District 13 title in place of LBJ as the Ducks finished in second-place in the division, per the report.
The sanctions are just the latest in a series of blows that have hit the program over the off-season. In Yum’s report, running back Caleb Crenshaw, who rushed for 1,342 yards and 20 touchdowns, and defensive back Yaheim Riley have both transferred to Anderson High School.

Losing Crenshaw to transfer is a major hit to LBJ as the team graduated quarterback Ali Scott, who threw for 2,392 yards, 33 touchdowns and only two interceptions in 2024.
The team is still slated to return top wide receivers Louis Hickman, who caught 29 passes for 833 yards, 12 scores, and Javarlyn Smith, who hauled in 42 catches for 753 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior.
When it comes to LBJ’s football program, they have been one of the better teams in Texas’ Class 4A the last several seasons, winning multiple district championships. Back in 2020, the Jaguars reached the Class 4A state semifinals.
Last season for the Jaguars featured several blowouts on the way to the then-undefeated season they had experienced. LBJ at one point during the 2024 season recorded three consecutive 50-point blowout victories in which they had out-scored their opponents by a combined 208-0.
LBJ is scheduled to open up the 2025 season at home against the Sam Houston Hurricanes on Aug. 29.
