List of Gatorade Player of the Year State Baseball Winners 2025

Congratulations to the 2025 Gatorade Player of the Year baseball state winners! They are now part of a company of athletes that received this distinction dating back to 1985. According to the award’s official website, the Selection Committee analyzes all candidates and chooses state winners based on three pillars.
The first pillar is athletic excellence or their standout performances. Candidates must also get commendations for their exemplary character by helping their community and by maintaining academic achievement.

Of all the state winners, one will become the national Gatorade Player of the Year for that sport. In addition to baseball, they also hail state winners for girls and boys basketball, and girls and boys cross country. There are also state winners for girls and boys track and field, softball, volleyball, and football.
For baseball, past national Gatorade Player of the Year winners include Gary Sheffield, Alex Rodriguez, Zack Greinke, Justin Upton, Clayton Kershaw, Lance McCullers Jr., and Bobby Witt Jr, among others.
