National Top 25 Rankings AFI (1)

The national high school football rankings via Massey Ratings continues to seesaw between teams when it comes to who is the best in the land. Back at the top is a program we have seen before out of Oklahoma in the Bixby Spartans.

The Spartans completed their regular season play with a dominating 72-3 win over Norman to go 10-0. Following them are Southlake Carroll, IMG Academy, Allen and Buford 2-5. Which other programs were able to make the climb into the national top 25 rankings this week?

The Massey Ratings, officially used during the BCS era, is a model that ranks sports teams by analyzing game outcomes, strength of schedule, and margin of victory.

Here is the latest National high school football Top 25 rankings, according to Massey as of Nov. 10.

1. Bixby (Okla.) (10-0)

The Bixby Spartans (10-0) move back into the national high school football rankings’ No. 1 spot after finishing the regular season with a 72-3 romp of Norman.

The Spartans have been unstoppable on offense, averaging 65.4 points per game, as they throughly dominated on their way to an undefeated 10-0 2025 campaign.

Senior quarterback Carson Kirby has been a steady hand behind center for Bixby, with the passer completing 144 of 205 passes for 2,287 yards and 31 touchdowns. The Spartans have remained the top team out of Oklahoma and are looking to win an eighth consecutive state championship.

2. Southlake Carroll (TX) (10-0)

The Southlake Carroll Dragons completed a undefeated regular season after they romped another opponent, defeating Keller Central in a 49-3 romp.

There’s little question that Southlake Carroll (10-0) might be playing the best football of the season behind the play of their high-octane offense. Leading the way is Pittsburgh commit Angelo Renda and Ohio State pledge Brock Boyd, with the pair fueling a Dragons’ offense that’s averaging over 50 points per game this season.

Southlake Carroll will face Crowley in the opening round of the Class 6A, Division II playoffs.

3. IMG Academy (Fla.) (9-0)

IMG Academy (9-0) looked on track to face rival St. Frances Academy (Md.) in what many feel like would be a de facto national high school football championship game.

Last week on Friday, however, all of that changed course as the Ascenders announced they would not be rescheduling their game against their rivals out of Baltimore.

For high school football fans, this definitely a loss as folks were looking forward to what kind of matchup it would’ve been on a national high school football stage. The Ascenders’ season is officially, barring a miracle of a last minute scheduled game, is over.

4. Allen (TX) (10-0)

Other than Southlake Carroll, no other Texas high school football team has been more consistent than the Allen Eagles. The Eagles’ latest win was a 45-6 victory over Plano East last week and will take on No. 25 ranked Lewisville to start the UIL postseason.

The Eagles (10-0) has been able to run through the opposing competition with ease, as they showed in recent victories over a previously undefeated Plano group, 56-0, and Princeton, 62-14.

The offense has been sizzling behind the play of Arizona three-star wide receiver commit Caleb Smith, who has made 50 catches, racking up 679 yards and scoring seven touchdowns.

5. Buford (Ga.) (10-0)

Are the Buford Wolves the prohibitive favorite to win Georgia’s Class 6A high school football classification?

The Wolves improved to 10-0 a week and a half ago after a 35-3 win over a very good Mill Creek team, the latest impressive win in their march towards an undefeated campaign. If there is a team that seems primed to knock Grayson off of its pedestal, it looks like Buford would be that threat.

One of the top defensive front sevens in the Peach State resides in Buford, as they feature four-star edge rushers Bryce Perry-Wright (Texas A&M) and Dre Quinn (Clemson) along with four-star safety Tyriq Green (Georgia). Through nine games, the defense has only yielded 101 points and has shown they can play with the best of ‘em.

Buford (10-0) will open the GHSA’s Class 6A state playoffs this week against Richmond Hill.

6. St. John Bosco (Calif.) (9-1)

St. John Bosco (9-1) fell to the sixth spot after a 36-31 loss to rival No. 14 Mater Dei last week.

The Braves’ 27-14 victory over Santa Margarita Catholic a couple weeks ago on the road, provided another piece of evidence on just why St. John Bosco would be a worthy of the No. 1 ranking in the country.

Through the first couple of weeks of the regular season, St. John Bosco only got to play two quarters against Manatee (Fla.), coming away with a 31-0 victory, the Braves returned home and routed Texas’ Eastwood 66-7. Though St. John Bosco has a loss heading into the playoffs, they are still one of the best teams in the country and have everything in front of them.

When the CIF Division I playoffs begin this week, the Braves will open up against Orange Lutheran, which qualified as an at-large.

7. St. Frances Academy (Md.) (7-1)

St. Frances Academy (7-1) made sure to remind folks in the DMV know who the best team in the region is as they rolled to a 35-0 win over Virginia’s No. 1 ranked The St. James Academy over a week ago at Under Armour Stadium in Baltimore.

What they won’t have the opportunity to do is show folks they are the best team in the country as their national high school football showdown with IMG Academy is now canceled and won’t be rescheduled.

The Panthers have leaned on Virginia commit Jae’Oyn Williams and 2027 running back Sa’Nir Brooks, as the pair helped them cruise past Chaminade-Madonna Prep at the Broward County Classic High School Football Showcase. The only loss of the season has come against St. John Bosco (Calif.) on the road, making the Panthers a very viable contender for a mythical national title.

What separates St. Frances Academy from many of the nation’s elites is the play of their defense, led by five-star edge rusher Zion Elee, who is a Maryland commitment.

8. Aledo (TX) (10-0)

The Aledo Bearcats (10-0) has scored over 70 points in four straight games as they surpassed the total again in last week’s 77-0 win over  Denton.

When it comes to red hot teams out of the Lone Star State, Aledo is a team that has been rolling offensively behind a slew of playmakers on the offensive end. The Bearcats this regular season are averaging a sizzling 50.3 points per game.

The Bearcats will open up the UIL playoffs with Saginaw (7-3).

9. Corner Canyon (UT) (10-1)

The defending UHSAA Class 6A state champions looks on track to win another state title as they’re just rolling through the postseason.

Corner Canyon (10-1) cruised in last week’s 56-14 rout of Syracuse in the playoffs and they gear up to face Mountain Ridge in the 6A state semifinals.

Texas A&M commitment Helaman Casuga has been the engine to make the Chargers’ offense go this season as he’s completed 172 of 254 passes for 2,976 yards and 34 touchdowns. The Chargers are just one win away from reaching Utah’s Class 6A state championship, which will be played next weekend at the University of Utah.

10. Grayson (Ga.) (10-0)

Grayson (10-0) closed the regular season with a 37-12 win over Archer over a week ago.

The loss of quarterback Travis Burgess for the rest of the season was a massive blow, but don’t tell the Grayson that it’s going to hold them back whatsoever. Grayson has done just fine, however, out-scoring opponents 441-86 through nine contests.

Texas five-star commit Tyler Atkinson has been playing very well for the Rams in the front seven, racking up 56 tackles, 18 for a loss and seven sacks.

The Rams will take on Norcross to start off the GHSA’s Class 6A postseason.
