Nebraska QB commit Dayton Raiola throws four touchdowns in latest win for Buford (Ga.)

As Dylan Raiola aims to take Nebraska to new heights as a sophomore this fall, his younger brother, Dayton, is amidst his senior season of high school football at Buford (Ga.) High.
Following in his brother’s footsteps, Dayton Raiola is pledged to the Huskers and is making waves on one of the top prep programs in the Southeast. He dominated last time out.
As the Wolves coasted to a 65-21 win over Roswell to improve to 3-0 on the season, Raiola completed 15 of 23 pass attempts for 210 yards and four touchdowns. That included a 60-yard bomb in the third quarter:
Surrounded by blue-chippers and other prospects being courted by Power Four programs, Raiola has an impressive cast to lean on at Buford. Despite that, he’s continued to show growth in his second season under center and looks much more comfortable thus far in his senior campaign.
Buford looks the part once again this season. It opened Phillip Beard Stadium, $62-million facility, this fall with a season-opening win over defending state champion Milton on Aug. 14. The Wolves won 20-13.
Before the win over Roswell last week, they crushed Benedictine Military School 42-14. Another marquee matchup is on deck this Friday as the Wolves host Douglas County. Buford is now the No. 5 team nationally and No. 2 team in the Peach State, per the Massey Ratings.

While ranked as just the No. 94 QB in the 2026 cycle, Raiola is working to bump up his stock before making his way to Lincoln next year. The left-hander committed to Nebraska last September and is approaching one year since he came off the board.
The Huskers notably have deep ties with the Raiola family. His father, Dominic, was an All-American in Lincoln with his jersey retired. His uncle, Donovan, is the program’s offensive line coach. With his brother now leading the way on the field, Dayton is next in line to make the move and continue the legacy.
“I really don’t feel like a recruit anymore,” Raiola told Rivals’ Chad Simmons on Aug. 19. “I feel like I know everyone in the building there, and sometimes I have to remember I’m not in college yet. But that’s how I want it to be — it’s ohana.”
