New Jersey High School Football Top 25 Rankings - Nov. 23

New Jersey high school football for the ninth consecutive week continues with Don Bosco Prep Ironmen as the No. 1 ranked program out of the Garden State as the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) heads into this week’s state championships.
The marquee matchup is No. 1 ranked Don Bosco Prep taking on No. 3 St. Joseph Regional for New Jersey’s Non-Public Class A state title. Who else made the cut in the 12th set of the Top 25 rankings out of New Jersey?
The Massey Ratings, officially used during the BCS era, is a model that ranks sports teams by analyzing game outcomes, strength of schedule, and margin of victory.
Here is the latest New Jersey high school football Top 25 rankings, according to Massey as of Nov. 23.
1. Don Bosco Prep Ironmen
The Don Bosco Prep Ironmen (11-0) moved on to the Non-Public Class A state championship after a pulling off the season sweep in a rematch with Bergen Catholic, 31-17.
Now can the Ironmen defeat St. Joseph Regional at Metlife Stadium on Friday night for the state title, capping a magical undefeated season?
Don Bosco Prep opened the season with a 14-10 win over Melissa (TX) and followed it up with another out-of-state team in Monarch (Fla.), defeating the Knights 38-21 at home. The Ironmen soundly defeated St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) a couple few ago, 28-0. The Ironmen a few weeks ago faced No. 7 ranked DePaul Catholic and came away with a convincing 47-15 victory.
2. Bergen Catholic Crusaders
The last time the Bergen Catholic Crusaders (8-3) have lost two games or more was 2019 and now they won’t be defending their state championship, stopping a run of four consecutive years doing so after a 31-17 loss to Don Bosco Prep.
The Crusaders have had themselves a doozy of a regular season opener when they defeated East St. Louis (Ill.) at the Battle at the Beach Classic in Ocean City as a nationally ranked program. Bergen Catholic then followed up that with another impressive win down in South Florida, defeating West Boca Raton (Fla.), 21-14. Losses to Don Bosco Prep, twice, and St. Joseph Regional, certainly changed the course of the Crusaders’ ceiling this fall.
Bergen Catholic started the postseason off hot with a 56-14 win over Saint Joseph before their loss to the Ironmen.
3. St. Joseph Regional Green Knights
St. Joseph Regional (9-2) booked their ticket to the Non-Public Class A state championship game after defeating No. 6 St. Peter’s Prep, 25-21, to reach the state title game for the first time since 2018.
The Green Knights got things rolling this 2025 season when they traveled down to the nation’s capital to face St. John’s College High coming away with a 34-19 win to kickoff the season and then followed it up with a 48-0 victory over Cardinal Hayes (N.Y.).
The Green Knights feature one of the most talented secondaries around, led by Tennessee commit KJ McClain. Now they’ll take on Don Bosco Prep for all of the marbles this Friday night at MetLife Stadium.
4. Hun School Raiders
The Hun School (7-3) closed out their 2025 regular season with a 50-21 thrashing of St. Thomas More (CT).

2027 three-star quarterback Lukas Prock finished a stellar junior season completing 226 of 309 passes for 4,330 yards and 41 touchdowns.
5. St. Peter’s Prep Marauders
St. Peter’s Prep (8-3) saw its 2025 season end last week when they fell in the semifinals to St. Joseph Regional, 25-21. The Marauders were able to defeat the Crusaders, 29-28, during the regular season meeting, but weren’t able to do so for a second time this fall.
St. Peter’s Prep lost three of their final five games of the 2025 season, losing to DePaul Catholic, Don Bosco Prep and St. Joseph Regional. The Marauders feature one of the Garden State’s most potent offenses, which includes a pair of four-star talents in offensive lineman Oluwasemilore Olubobola and running back Abdul Turay.
