New Jersey High School Football Top 25 Rankings - Nov. 9

New Jersey high school football for the seventh consecutive week continues with Don Bosco Prep Ironmen as the No. 1 ranked program out of the Garden State as the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) playoffs begin.
The newest teams to make their way into the Top 25 this week are Holy Spirit and Mainland Regional. Who else made the cut in the 10th set of the Top 25 rankings out of New Jersey?
The Massey Ratings, officially used during the BCS era, is a model that ranks sports teams by analyzing game outcomes, strength of schedule, and margin of victory.
Here is the latest New Jersey high school football Top 25 rankings, according to Massey as of Nov. 9.
1. Don Bosco Prep Ironmen
The Don Bosco Prep Ironmen (9-0) put an exclamation mark on taking the top spot after a 31-6 thrashing of St. Peter’s Prep in their regular season finale.
Don Bosco Prep opened the season with a 14-10 win over Melissa (TX) and followed it up with another out-of-state team in Monarch (Fla.), defeating the Knights 38-21 at home. The Ironmen soundly defeated St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) a couple few ago, 28-0. The Ironmen a couple weeks ago faced No. 7 ranked DePaul Catholic and came away with a convincing 47-15 victory.
Next up for the top-ranked Don Bosco Prep is the NJSIAA Non-Public playoffs as they are slated to take on Seton Hall Prep, whom they defeated 40-7 a few weeks ago, in the opening round.
2. Bergen Catholic Crusaders
The last time the Bergen Catholic Crusaders (7-2) have lost two games or more was 2019. Since then, the Crusaders have averaged just one loss a season but that changed as they lost a heartbreaking, 43-42 overtime game to St. Joseph Regional a few weeks ago.
The Crusaders have had themselves a doozy of a regular season opener when they defeated East St. Louis (Ill.) at the Battle at the Beach Classic in Ocean City. Bergen Catholic followed up that with another impressive win down in South Florida, defeating West Boca Raton (Fla.), 21-14.
Bergen Catholic ended the regular season with a dominating, 40-0 win over Seton Hall Prep and will start the postseason against Saint Joseph.
3. Hun School Raiders
The Hun School (7-3) closed out their 2025 regular season with a 50-21 thrashing of St. Thomas More (CT).
The Raiders recently cruised past Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, 42-0, and then few weeks ago soundly defeated winless Mt. Zion Prep, 48-0. Hun School relies on a stout defense, led by a pair of senior defensive ends in Luke Wafle (USC commit) and Seth Clarke (Rice commit).
2027 three-star quarterback Lukas Prock finished a stellar junior season completing 226 of 309 passes for 4,330 yards and 41 touchdowns.
4. St. Joseph Regional Green Knights
St. Joseph Regional (7-2) moved up the rankings one spot after they defeated DePaul Catholic, 31-14, in the regular season finale. This week they’ll take on Delbarton to open up the Non-Public postseason in the opening round.

The Green Knights got things rolling this 2025 season when they traveled down to the nation’s capital to face St. John’s College High coming away with a 34-19 win to kickoff the season and then followed it up with a 48-0 victory over Cardinal Hayes (N.Y.).
The Green Knights feature one of the most talented secondaries around, led by Tennessee commit KJ McClain. St. Joseph Regional has another tough matchup this week when they take on No. 7 DePaul Catholic.
5. Winslow Township Eagles
Well look who has made their way inside of the Top 5 for the first time this season as Winslow Township opened up the state playoffs with a dominating 47-7 win over Shawnee over the weekend.
When looking at the level of talent the Eagles have on their roster, there’s little question this roster is one of the best teams in New Jersey. Winslow Township features a very talented wide receiving corps, which includes senior three-stars Quayd Hendryx (UConn commit), Nyqir Helton (North Carolina commit) and TJ Maddox.
Next challenge in the postseason for Winslow Township is Millville.
