The North Crowley Panthers lost only two games in the last three seasons. However, they’ve swept the competition in 2024-25, winning 16 games including the Texas Class 6A Division 1 state championship.

It was a dominating run for the Panthers as they won by single digits only thrice. Conversely, they scored at least 50 points in all but five games, including a 70-point explosion against Rockwall High School. Meanwhile, North Crowley’s average winning margin was 35.9 points while they scored an average of 53.6 points per game.

These numbers made them the second-best high school football team in the nation based on the On3 Composite Rankings. The Panthers trailed only California’s Mater Dei in the national rankings. While North Crowley desires to replicate the perfect season, pulling off that achievement is challenging because some of their top athletes have graduated.

On offense, running backs Cornelius Warren and Daniel Bray will attend Arizona and Utah, respectively. Wide receiver Quentin Gibson will join the Colorado Buffaloes, while offensive lineman Henry Fenuku will attend Missouri.

Conversely, the Panthers will be missing the services of Jonathan Cunningham (Texas) and Gaylon McNeal (Washington State) on defense. However, as the previous generation graduates, the next batch of North Crowley Panthers should step up to maintain the program’s lofty standards.

That said, the 2025 season will be the proving ground for the remaining North Crowley players like offensive lineman John Turntine, safety Aaron Bradshaw, and cornerback Jerry Outhouse, among others.

However, the path to another state championship won’t be easy because they will face three-time state champions DeSoto twice and two-time state champions Denton Guyer once.
