Oklahoma commit Krew Jones transferring to Orem (UT)

Four-star 2027 edge rusher Krew Jones has decided to switch up schools ahead of his senior season in Utah.

According to a social media post collaborated by Jones via Instagram, the Oklahoma commitment announced that he is transferring from Class 4A state champion Ridgeline to Class 5A state champ Orem.

The 6-foot-4, 225-pound Jones is ranked by the Rivals Industry Rankings as the nation’s No. 20 edge and No. 135 prospect overall.

Jones, who just recently played in the Under Armour All-America Game, will be joining a Tigers’ club that will have several key seniors graduating from this year’s state championship group and immediately becomes the top player on Orem’s defensive unit. Orem’s defense in 2025 only yielded 11.7 points per game.

Last season at Ridgeline, Jones totaled 80 tackles, 26 went for a loss, 14.5 sacks, batted away four passes at the line of scrimmage and recovered three fumbles.

Orem, which won the UHSAA Class 5A state championship in 2025 with a 12-2 record, finished as the state’s No. 10 ranked team, according to the final Utah 2025 High School Football Massey Rankings.
