An all out fight has ended the 2025 season of a Pennsylvania high school football team.

According to a CBS Philadelphia report, the School District of Philadelphia confirmed to the outlet that the season for Lincoln High School is suspended for the rest of 2025 after a fight took place after their contest against Northeast last weekend on Saturday.

“The district and the Philadelphia Public League place an emphasis on sportsmanship, leadership and character,” a Philadelphia School District spokesperson said in a statement via the report. “We value the safety of both players and spectators alike at games and expect appropriate and respectful conduct from everyone in attendance.”

The Railspiltters ended up winning the contest 39-8, but the victory was overshadowed by the brawl that would take place once the game concluded. The CBS report said that video evidence showed parents from both Lincoln and Northeast, in addition to Lincoln players fighting as they exited the field.

The Philadelphia Public League’s rules listed under ‘POLICY REGARDING UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT’ reads the following in their handbook:

A team member or coach who, immediately prior to, during, or immediately after a Contest,
recklessly or with ill will or an intent to harm, punches, i.e., strikes with a closed fist, or otherwise
trikes, bites, or kicks a contestant, Coach, official, or any other person attending the Contest; shall be
suspended and may be disqualified in that sport by the Philadelphia Public League Infractions
Committee.

The Railsplitters were on their way to having a regular season over the .500 mark with three games to go as Lincoln was 4-3 after that contest against Northeast. Now, Lincoln will forfeit their final two games against West Philadelphia and Imhotep Institute, respectively.
