Peyton Manning visits Tennessee high school football game

Tennessee high school football players may have been in awe at the sight of five-time NFL Most Valuable Player Peyton Manning. As The Tennessean’s Tyler Palmateer wrote, Manning was present during the game between Baylor and Brentwood Academy.
The two-time Super Bowl winner was in attendance because his son, Marshall, is an eighth grader at Baylor. Unsurprisingly, Marshall Manning is playing quarterback, a position that made his father a Pro Football Hall of Famer. Quarterback play runs deep in the family as Marshall’s father, grandfather (Archie), uncle (Eli), and cousin (Arch) played the position.
However, unfavorable weather forced the cancellation of the Brentwood-Baylor game. Despite this hiccup, the Red Raiders are one of Tennessee high school football’s elite teams. In addition to winning the 2022 Division II-AAA state championship, they also reached the state title game in 2023 and 2024.
