According to a social media post made by Cardinal O’Hara‘s (Pa.) football program on Friday morning, the Lions’ matchup against Upper Darby will be played in front of a restricted audience due to recent events with the school.

Tonight’s Game will start @ 6 pm and be played in front of a restricted audience.

Due to some recent security concerns, the game time is being moved up to 6 pm. Each player is allowed to submit 4 names for entrance to the game.

Per a CBS Philadelphia report on Thursday, masked students from another high school ambushed a Cardinal O’Hara student right outside of school.

A video was released on social media showing a group charging the Lions’ student. The attack happened right after the school’s dismissal of classes, which created a melee-like situation unfolding right outside of Cardinal O’Hara.

The Lions are currently 2-0 on the regular season, with the team’s most recent win coming in a 17-14 victory over Archbishop Ryan. Cardinal O’Hara started off the 2025 season defeating
Archbishop Wood
in a 28-20 decision and will be at home again next week when they host Smyrna of Delaware.

Upper Darby enters tonight’s contest with a 1-2 record and are coming off a 21-0 loss to Strath Haven.
