The 2025 high school football season will be getting underway in a few short weeks, which means it’s officially preview season. Rivals is breaking down the nation’s top teams from coast-to-coast, and today we make our way back over to the Peach State and check out one of South Georgia’s top high school programs in the Camden County Wildcats. Head coach Travis Roland heads into his second season leading the program and qualified for GHSA’s Class 6A playoffs. Now with another experienced, talented group heading into the 2025 campaign, can the Wildcats make a deep playoff run in Roland’s second season at the helm?

Player Spotlight: WR Sean Green

Playing alongside of 6-foot-7 tight end Elyiss Williams had its perks and Green became a beneficiary of getting more touches in the Wildcats’ offense. Camden County has two very capable quarterbacks in either Riendeau and Jackson throwing the rock, which Green should see plenty of targets from either passer. Last year as a sophomore, Green finished the season with 48 catches for 584 yards and scored five touchdowns.

Others to watch: QB William Jackson, QB Parker Riendeau, CB David Coleman Jr., LB Xavier Brown

Season Prediction: 7-3

If you’re a person familiar with Camden County football, you are looking at the record and saying to yourself, this looks very familiar. That’s because the Wildcats went 7-4 in 2024 and we can see the same exact record this time around just because of the teams on the back end of Camden County’s schedule. Games against Colquitt County, Lowndes and Valdosta will be the most difficult throughout the season. Despite the three losses we predict, we still see Roland’s club making Georgia’s Class 6A playoffs this fall.

Game-By-Game Predictions

The Pirates overpowered the Eagles last year and do so once more in the rematch.
