Professional wrestling event to feature a Florida high school football coach, former WWE star

The first ever event for the Ultimate Florida Wrestling (UFW) promotion starts off in Tarpon Springs, Florida this upcoming Saturday and will feature a former WWE star & a current Florida high school head football coach. What makes it unique is it will be a fundraiser for high school athletics.
Tarpon Springs High School‘s football program announced via its social media handles that their head coach, Jeremy Frioud, will be making his professional wrestling debut this upcoming weekend. The event will also include former UCF standout offensive lineman Parker Boudreaux, who also wrestled in the WWE in 2021-2022.

According to the wrestling event flier, which is dubbed as ‘Charged’, the promotion is fundraiser for Tarpon Springs High School athletics. Tickets range from $25 to sit in the front row to general admission at $8, with the doors opening at 6 p.m. Eastern Time.

Boudreaux, a Bishop Moore Catholic graduate, is slated to face ‘J-Sin’, according to the event page and Frioud is featured, but no named opponent as of yet for the Tarpon Springs’ head football coach. When Boudreaux was at UCF, the former offensive guard was apart of the Knights’ 2018 Peach Bowl winning team.

Frioud, a Tarpon Springs alum, is in his second stint as a head coach, leading St. Petersburg Northeast from 2014 to 2020, going 31-37. Now at his alma mater, Frioud led the Spongers to the Class 2A playoffs last season with a 6-5 record. Heading into his fourth season at the helm, Frioud has an overall record of 17-13.
