The 2025 South Carolina football season advances to its third week, with some teams remaining undefeated. Some of these squads with 2-0 starts are included in this list of the top games from the Palmetto State this weekend. Meanwhile, two games will feature a North Carolina-South Carolina showdown.

No. 1 Northwestern at No. 5 South Florence

When: Friday, September 5, 7:05 p.m. ET
Where: South Florence High School, Florence, South Carolina

By the end of this match, one team will suffer its first loss in the 2025 South Carolina high school football season. The state’s top-ranked team defeated Spartanburg and Ridge View to go to 2-0. Meanwhile, South Florence edged West Florence and Summerville. While the Bruins will enjoy home-field advantage, Northwestern’s superiority will carry them to a 3-0 start.

Massey prediction: Northwestern 42, South Florence 20

No. 7 Ridge View at No. 2 Dutch Fork

When: Friday, September 5, 7:30 p.m. ET
Where: Dutch Fork Stadium, Irmo, South Carolina

After a dominant victory over Spartanburg, the Silver Foxes host Ridge View, a team coming off a loss against Northwestern. Last season, Dutch Fork completed a 38-0 shutout versus the Blazers. While there’s no guarantee of another blank sheet, the Foxes are favored to win this matchup.

Massey prediction: Dutch Fork 40, Ridge View 7

No. 3 Irmo at Butler (N.C.)

When: Friday, September 5, 7:00 p.m. ET
Where: Brian Hales Field, Matthews, North Carolina

Irmo is two for two to start the season, earning victories against Oceanside Collegiate Academy and Byrnes. This week, they will host the Butler Bulldogs, who are also starting the season with a 2-0 mark. The Yellow Jackets are predicted to cruise to a 3-0 record.

Massey prediction: Irmo 40, Butler 19

West Charlotte (N.C.) at No. 4 South Pointe

When: Friday, September 5, 7:30 p.m. ET
Where: South Pointe Stallions Stadium, Rock Hill, South Carolina

The Lions made an emphatic statement after a 47-0 shutout victory over Monroe. This week, they will go across the border to play against South Pointe, which is coming off a 28-6 win against Rock Hill. Though both sides have an equal opportunity to win, West Charlotte should do enough to pick up another road victory.

Massey prediction: West Charlotte 26, South Pointe 21

No. 22 T L Hanna at No. 12 Westside

When: Friday, September 5, 7:30 p.m. ET
Where: Westside Football Stadium, Anderson, South Carolina

The Rams are looking to bounce back after a surprising season-opening loss on the road against Vestavia Hills. This time, Westside will be playing at home against T. L. Hanna, a team also seeking its first victory in the 2025 South Carolina high school football season. While the home team has an advantage, this game could go either way.

Massey prediction: Westside 38, T L Hanna 28
