The high school football season continued in South Carolina last week, as many of the top programs in the Palmetto State were in action. Plenty of interesting results followed.

Another jam-packed slate is on deck as teams continue their quests for a state title. Below are the top 25 South Carolina high school football teams, according to the Massey Ratings, as of Oct. 13.

1. Northwestern Trojans

The Trojans are on a four-game winning streak after a 56-40 victory over Fort Mill. On defense, Northwestern manhandled the Yellow Jackets with eight sacks and two interceptions. South Carolina high school football’s best team will visit Rock Hill on October 17.

2. Dutch Fork Foxes

After losing to Oceanside Collegiate Academy, the Foxes have won two consecutive games after defeating White Knoll. Quintin Wilson had 16 carries for 116 rushing yards and three touchdowns, while Stone Furrey had 86 receiving yards and a TD. Dutch Fork will host Lexington on the 17th.

3. Irmo Yellowjackets

The Yellowjackets improved to 7-0 after a 56-14 road victory against River Bluff. Irmo has won of their last 11 games, and they can add another victory by beating White Knoll on the 17th.

RJ Brown also had a couple of rushing touchdowns. Meanwhile, the South Pointe defense swarmed the Cougars with 11.5 sacks, including Brysen Ginn’s 2.5. The Stallions’ next stop in the 2025 South Carolina high school football season is an October 17 road game against Lancaster.

5. South Florence Bruins

After losing to Northwestern, the Bruins have won four straight games, including a 49-0 shutout victory against Lakewood. 6. Ridge View Blazers

After back-to-back losses, the Blazers are on a four-game winning streak. What’s more impressive is that they’ve shut down their last two opponents, including a 26-0 victory against Lugoff-Elgin. Ridge View surrendered only 21 points during the streak, and they can add another victory by defeating West Florence on the 17th.

7. Summerville Green Wave

While the Green Wave scored only 14 points, it was enough to extend their winning streak to five games. The Summerville defense deserves much credit for limiting James Island to nine points. The Green Wave will continue the 2025 South Carolina high school football season with an October 17 road game against Ashley Ridge

8. T. L. Hanna Yellow Jackets

The Yellow Jackets have won six straight games after beating Woodmont 42-9. Elijah Grimes had 123 rushing yards, while Brock Cole had 64 rushing yards and a couple of TDs. 9. White Knoll Timberwolves

The Timberwolves are still in the top ten despite their 41-24 loss to Dutch Fork. While White Knoll is still in good shape with a 5-2 record, a tough challenge awaits as they visit Irmo on the 17th.
