The high school football season continued in South Carolina last week, as many of the top programs in the Palmetto State were in action. Plenty of interesting results followed.

Another jam-packed slate is on deck as teams continue their quests for a state title. Below are the top 25 South Carolina high school football teams, according to the Massey Ratings, as of Oct. 27.

1. Northwestern Trojans

The best team in South Carolina high school football is on a five-game winning streak after defeating Rock Hill 45-14. Zykel Reid finished with 121 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while Xavier Means added 90 rushing yards and two TDs. Meanwhile, the Northwestern defense tallied 4.5 sacks, with 1.5 courtesy of Nolan McKinnon. The Trojans will close the 2025 regular season against Indian Land on October 31.

2. Dutch Fork Foxes

The Foxes are on a four-game winning streak after a 37-0 shutout of River Bluff. Kyle Henry finished with 136 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while Jaxon Knotts completed a touchdown pass to Stone Furrey, who finished with 97 receiving yards. What’s more impressive is that Dutch Fork has three shutout victories in their last four games. They hope to carry that momentum to their regular season finale against Irmo on October 31.

3. Irmo Yellowjackets

The Yellowjackets improved to 9-0 after making light work of Chapin, 48-6. That result marks the third time in their last four games that Irmo limited their opponents to single-digit scoring or less. A victory over Dutch Fork on October 31 will give the Yellowjackets a perfect 2025 South Carolina high school football season.

4. South Pointe Stallions

The Stallions earned a 42-0 shutout victory over Dreher to go to 8-1 for the season. J’Zavien Currence had an all-around game, tallying 153 passing yards, 104 rushing yards, and four touchdowns. Dailan Duncan had 82 receiving yards and two TD. Meanwhile, the South Pointe Stallions completed 16 tackles for losses, including two sacks each from Daquan Evans and Miles Wilson. The Stallions will finish the regular season against Richland Northeast on October 30.

5. South Florence Bruins

The Bruins extended their winning streak to six games after defeating Lower Richland 57-7. Messiah Jackson threw for 112 yards and four touchdowns, while JayAun Perkins had a couple of receiving TDs. De’eric Davis, Cameron James, Malik Robinson, Ben Tyner, and Bruce Thompson joined in the scoring fray with their respective touchdowns. On defense, Terry Gordon led the way with eight tackles, including two sacks. South Florence’s 2025 South Carolina high school football regular season will close against Hartsville on October 31.
