South Carolina High School Football Rankings: Top 25 Teams - Sept. 30

The high school football season kicked off in South Carolina last week, and many of the top programs in the Palmetto State were in action. Plenty of interesting results followed.

Another jam-packed slate is on deck as teams continue their quests for a state title. Below are the top 25 South Carolina high school football teams, according to the Massey Ratings, as of Sept. 30.

1. Northwestern Trojans

The best team in South Carolina high school football has won two in a row after defeating Catawba Ridge. In their 56-20 victory over the Copperheads, Northwestern scored all their points in the first half, putting the game out of reach. Xavier Means finished with 204 passing yards, 64 rushing yards, and three touchdowns. Nigel Smith added 153 rushing yards and three touchdowns, while Evan Harrison contributed 78 receiving yards and a touchdown. On defense, Malik Darby generated two sacks. The Trojans will play an October 3 road game against Clover.

2. South Pointe Stallions

The Stallions extended their winning streak to four games after defeating A.C. Flora 35-12. After being down 12-0 in the first quarter, South Pointe shut down the Falcons while executing their offense. Four-star quarterback J’Zavien Currence had an all-around game, tallying 265 passing yards, 93 rushing yards, and three touchdowns (two rushing). R.J. Brown had 140 rushing yards and a touchdown, while Dailan Duncan collected 170 receiving yards. Currence also made an interception, while Brysen Ginn collected two sacks. The Stallions will proceed to a road game against Camden on October 3.

3. Dutch Fork Foxes

The Foxes are coming off a loss against Oceanside Collegiate Academy on September 19. Dutch Fork took a break last week and will return to action against Chapin on October 3.

4. Irmo Yellowjackets

The Yellowjackets remain undefeated five games into the 2025 South Carolina high school football season. They’ve scored 50 or more points in their last two games. Irmo’s schedule continues with a home game against Lexington on October 3.

5. South Florence Bruins

The Bruins are on a two game winning streak after defeating Crestwood on September 19. After a bye week, South Florence will play against Darlington on October 3.

6. Ridge View Blazers

The Blazers have back-to-back victories after an emphatic 46-8 victory over Westwood. Spencer Bobian rushed for 201 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while Ryan Williams added 64 rushing yards and a TD. Meanwhile, the Ridge View defense tallied 12 tackles for losses and an interception. The Blazers can extend their streak with a win against Spring Valley on October 3.

7. Summerville Green Wave

The Green Wave’s 48-0 shutout victory against Goose Creek extended their winning streak to three games. Summerville scored 42 points in the first half and were in cruise control to improve their record to 4-1. Their 2025 South Carolina high school football season continues against Stall on October 3.

8. James Island Trojans

The Trojans are at 5-0 after a one-sided 63-7 victory against Saint James. This result also marked the fourth time James Island limited their opponent to single-digit scoring. Connor Dantzler threw for 345 passing yards and three touchdowns, while Raphael Puiu generated 165 receiving yards and two TD catches. Meanwhile, the Trojans’ ground attack contributed 153 yards and six touchdowns. James Island will face West Ashley on October 3.

9. White Knoll Timberwolves

The Timberwolves pushed their record to 4-1 after a 40-0 shutout victory against Fort Dorchester. They’ve scored 40 or more points twice in the last three games and are on a four-game winning streak. White Knoll can make it five by defeating River Bluff on October 3.

10. Dorman Cavaliers

The Cavaliers defeated Byrnes, 33-21, improving their record to 4-1. As their 2025 South Carolina high school football season continues, Dorman can extend their winning streak to three games with a victory against Boiling Springs on October 3.
