In what was being billed as the Game of the Year for Tennessee high school football this 2025 season easily lived up to the billing. It would be Baylor School walking out of Hatch Stadium knowing they run the City of Chattanooga, for now at least.

The Red Raiders received a huge night from junior four-star running back David Gabriel Georges, who scored three touchdowns in leading Baylor School to a thrilling 38-35 victory over McCallie School on Friday night.

The Blue Tornadoes (5-2) would come out of the gates out when a Baylor punt hit the back of one of the blockers and McCallie’s Xavier Fillion ran it back for a touchdown.

McCallie tried to take a two-score lead early on a field goal attempt that would hit the upright and give them just a 7-0 advantage after one period. The missed field goal would end up coming back to haunt them.

It was the Gabriel Georges Show for Baylor as the junior tailback began racking up the yards after only gaining 16 on his first several attempts, the workhorse would begin leading them past their rival McCallie. Gabriel Georges ended the evening with just under 300 yards rushing along with the three scoring runs.

Despite the tremendous night Gabriel Georges was having, it would be Louisville commit Briggs Cherry throwing the game’s go-ahead scoring pass, hitting Kaiden Dewey on a 15-yard touchdown strike with 1:02 remaining.
