Tennessee High School Football: How to watch Baylor School vs. Brentwood Academy
The third Tennessee high school football state championship game of the dais today takes place tonight when top-ranked Baylor School takes on undefeated Brentwood Academy for the TSSAA Class 3A, Division II state championship. Checkout the key players on both sides to watch in this matchup of top five Tennessee high school football teams tonight.
Red Raiders to Watch
Tennessee high school football’s No. 1 ranked team, Baylor School, doesn’t have to travel too far for the biggest game of the year when they square off with Brentwood Academy for the state’s Class 3A, Division II crown. Despite falling short of winning it all a year ago, the Red Raiders look more than capable of pulling off the feat this time around behind a very talented offensive group.
QB Briggs Cherry: The Louisville commitment four-star quarterback has been terrific all season long for the Red Raiders, throwing for 2,718 yards, 31 touchdowns to only a three mere interceptions.
RB David Gabriel Georges: There may not be a player that’s looked more impressive out of the backfield in the country than Gabriel Georges has been for Baylor School. The junior back has rushed for 1,605 yards and 25 scores this season.
OL Gabriel Osenda: The 6-foot-7, 345-pound Tennessee offensive tackle signee will be protecting Cherry when he’s dropping back in the pocket and leading the way for Gabriel Georges on run plays.
S Kolby Barrett: The Mississippi State signee patrols the back end for the Red Raiders and will look to seal the program’s third state championship in program history.
Eagles to Watch
Brentwood Academy (12-0) are no slouches heading into tonight’s Tennessee high school football state championship game as the roster is filled with Division I prospects. The Eagles are coming off a dominating 38-7 victory over Christ Presbyterian Academy a couple weeks ago, showing this team will have more than a chance in the Thursday finale.
QB Crews Jenkins: The junior signal caller has been impressive all season long for the Eagles, leading an offense that’s averaging a cool 38.5 points per game.

WR Kesean Bowman: One of the state’s top receivers, Bowman, a Class of 2027 prospect, is the top target for Jenkins and will need to have a big night if Brentwood Academy wants to come away with a state title.
S Kenneth Simon II: The focus for Brentwood Academy will be stopped David Gabriel Georges, but that leaves the secondary more suspect to the passing attack of Baylor School. Expect Simon II to make some plays in tonight’s showdown.
K Tommy Bauchiero: Kickers matter. Period. The Rice commitment could be the difference between winning or losing tonight’s Tennessee high school football state championship, whether on a field goal or extra point. Every point counts in a big game like this evening’s.
