Tennessee High School Football Rankings: Top 25 Teams - Nov. 18

In addition to the changes in the placement of some teams, two squads entered the tail end of the Tennessee high school football top 25 list. Here’s how Massey ranked the state’s best teams.

The Massey Ratings system, officially used during the BCS era, is a model that ranks sports teams by analyzing game outcomes, strength of schedule, and margin of victory.

1. Baylor School Red Raiders

The Red Raiders have retained the top spot in the Tennessee high school football rankings after defeating Knoxville Catholic in the second round of the Division II Class AAA playoffs. Baylor School will carry their 10-0 record to their semifinal showdown versus McCallie School on November 21.

2. McCallie School Blue Tornados

The Blue Tornados advanced to the next round of the Division II Class AAA playoffs after a 41-14 victory over Briarcrest Christian. This win sets McCallie School with a semifinal matchup against Baylor School on the 21st.

3. Oakland Patriots

The Patriots improved to 12-0 for the season after a 35-10 win over Bradley Central. The Oakland offense generated 303 rushing yards and five touchdowns, led by Kamani Bass’ 112 rushing yards and Craig Tutt’s two rushing TDs. The Patriots will face Green Hill in the next round on November 21.

4. Brentwood Academy Eagles

The Eagles’ season continues after defeating Montgomery Bell Academy in the Division II Class AAA quarterfinals. Brentwood Academy will compete against Christ Presbyterian Academy in the semifinals on November 21.

5. Ravenwood Raptors

The Raptors remained perfect for the season after beating Houston 38-7. Jay Little threw two touchdown passes, while Maverick Chance finished with 115 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Ravenwood will play against Whitehaven in the Tennessee high school football Division 1 Class 6A quarterfinals on the 21st.
