Tennessee High School Football Rankings: Top 25 Teams - Oct. 14

The high school football season continued in Tennessee last week, as many of the top programs in the Volunteer State were in action. Plenty of interesting results followed.

Another jam-packed slate is on deck as teams continue their quests for a state title. Below are the top 25 Tennessee high school football teams, according to the Massey Ratings, as of Oct. 14.

1. Baylor School Red Raiders

The best team in Tennessee high school football improved to 6-0 after edging McCallie 38-35. Baylor School’s 17-point second-quarter production proved to be the difference in this match. The Red Raiders can remain undefeated by getting a favorable result against North Carolina’s Ambassador Christian School on October 17.

2. Oakland Patriots

While the Patriots’ streak of limiting opponents to single-digit scoring ended, they are still undefeated after a 35-14 result against Rockvale. Justis Haggard led the Oakland offense with 103 rushing yards and three touchdowns, while Kam Morton and Joel Wyatt connected on a TD pass. Meanwhile, the Patriots defense generated two sacks and four interceptions. The Patriots will visit LaVergne for an October 17 game.

3. McCallie School Blue Tornados

The Blue Tornados were impressive despite losing to Baylor. They fought to the end, only to come up short by three points. McCallie School can bounce back by defeating Knoxville Catholic on the 17th.

4. Ravenwood Raptors

Before their bye week, the Raptors have won all its first seven games. Ravenwood will continue the 2025 Tennessee high school football season with an October 17 road game against Shelbyville Central.

5. Brentwood Academy Eagles

While they surrendered 31 points to Briarcrest Christian, it was still not enough to hand the Eagles their first loss this season. Brentwood Academy scored 34 points, with Larry Sanders II contributing 170 rushing yards and a touchdown. Meanwhile, Crews Jenkins had two passing TDs. After their bye week, the Eagles will return to action on October 24 against Father Ryan.

6. Ensworth Tigers

The Tigers have earned two consecutive victories after beating Christ Presbyterian Academy. Now at 6-2, Ensworth can earn another victory by defeating the Baylor School on October 24. 

7. Alcoa Tornadoes

The Tornadoes are still undefeated in the 2025 Tennessee high school football season. After going 7-0, Alcoa enjoyed a bye week before returning to action on October 17 against Heritage.

8. Page Patriots

The Patriots are at 6-0 before having a rest from the action. Page will return on October 17 against Independence. 

9. Franklin Road Academy Panthers

The Panthers remain in the top ten despite a high-scoring loss to Antioch. While they suffered defeat, Jack Nimitz had a massive game with 389 passing yards, 48 rushing yards, and three touchdowns. Mike Hassell had 215 rushing yards, 105 receiving yards, and three touchdowns. Franklin Road Academy will have a bye before returning to action against Grace Christian Academy on October 24.

10. Battle Ground Academy Wildcats

The Wildcats have two consecutive victories after a 44-0 shutout victory against Chattanooga Prep. Kaedyn Marable threw for four touchdown passes, while Maddox Porter and Max Curry each had 82 receiving yards and a touchdown. Battle Ground Academy will continue their 2025 Tennessee high school football schedule against Pope John Paul II on the 17th.
