Texas high school football team helps in post-flood cleanup efforts

Due to the catastrophic turn of events in their community brought about by the recent floods, a Texas high school football team swapped team practice for charitable service.
As Caleb Yum of the Austin American-Statesman wrote, Faith Academy head coach James Silvers had his players trade their football gear for boots and gloves. Instead of running laps or going through play on the football field, the Flames players extended assistance to a trailer park that was ravaged by the devastating floods.
These Texas high school football players cleared debris to allow residents to access whatever they could save. Likewise, the Faith Academy campus became a headquarters for relief efforts and an evacuation center for those affected by the natural catastrophe.
