Top 20 highest-paid Texas high school football coaches from the Dallas-Fort Worth area

The monetary investment poured into Texas high school football can dwarf that from other states. No wonder the Lone Star State has produced a steady stream of elite talent who have played in opulent high school football stadiums. Likewise, the competition level prepares these athletes for college football and, potentially, the National Football League.
While players get the best facilities, their coaches are earning decent wages. As Fort Worth Star-Telegram’s Charles Baggarly wrote, a six-figure salary for high school football coaches in the Dallas-Fort Worth area is the norm.
Baggarly revealed that a high school football coach in the DFW is making an average of $125,724.28 annually. Some coaches earn more, especially if they hold other roles, such as athletic director or Physical Education teacher. As an overview, Baggarly added, “Forty-seven coaches make more than $130,000, while 16 make more than $140,000. Two coaches make less than $100,000.”
Southlake Carroll’s Riley Dodge is the highest-paid Texas high school football coach in Dallas-Fort Worth, earning $175,000 annually. In addition to coaching the Dragons, he is also the school’s executive director of athletics. Dodge has led Southlake Carroll to three state titles as a player. However, he has yet to lead the Dragons to a championship as head coach.
