C.J. Rosser, the top-ranked high school basketball prospect from the Class of 2027, announced that he will be playing for Southeastern Prep. The five-star power forward confirmed the news in a short video uploaded on the NBA Court of Leaders’ Instagram account.

“To better prepare to reach some long-term goals, I wanna play with and against other talented players, and for a program of great culture. For those reasons, I’ll be attending Southeastern Prep,” Rosser expressed before revealing the Southeastern Prep shirt he was wearing.

C.J. Rosser played his first two high school basketball seasons with North Carolina’s Northern Nash Knights. He averaged 10.2 points and 5.2 rebounds per game in his freshman year. The following season, he raised his game with averages of 18.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game.

During his sophomore year, Rosser helped Northern Nash finish with a 20-6 record and reach the second round of the Class 3A state tournament. Meanwhile, his production over the first two years earned him a 98.46 Rivals Industry Ranking, making him the nation’s top prospect in his class.

Rosser will be joining a high school team that finished with a 16-8 record while facing teams like Montverde Academy, DME Academy, and West Oaks Academy last season. Two years ago, the Falcons went 15-5.

In addition to high school basketball, C.J. Rosser helped USA Basketball win the 2025 FIBA Under-16 Men’s AmeriCup in Mexico. He averaged 13.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.8 steals, and 1.8 blocks in six starts.
