Travis Kelce watches Kansas high school football game

When not taking the field for the Kansas City Chiefs or hosting the ‘New Heights’ podcast, tight end Travis Kelce remains a football fan. This was evident when the three-time Super Bowl champion graced the Kansas high school football playoff game between Mill Valley and St. James Academy.
In a video shared by KSHB 41 sports reporter Matt Foster, Kelce was seen watching the game between the Jaguars and the Thunder. The four-time First-team All-Pro player was in attendance with fellow tight end and former Bishop Carroll standout Blake Bell. They were there in support of former teammate Anthony Sherman who is a running backs coach for St. James Academy.
It’s a perfect game for Travis Kelce to attend because this Kansas high school football game turned into a classic. The Class 5A sectional showdown ended with Sherman’s team winning a 45-41 shootout. John Hornback dominated that match with 308 passing yards, 101 rushing yards, and two touchdowns. Jake House rushed for 81 yards and four touchdowns, while Alec Jett had five catches for 160 yards and a TD.
Mill Valley fought valiantly, thanks to Blake Jay’s 229 rushing yards and four touchdowns. Max Piva added 195 rushing yards, 18 receiving yards, and two TDs. However, Hornback’s eight-yard rushing touchdown with under a minute left eliminated the Jaguars from playoff contention.
