USF commit knocks down school-record 62-yard FG
Like father, a former NFL place kicker, like USF bound son.
The longest field goal former NFL kicker Martin Gramatica hit in his career was in college at Kansas State, knocking down a 65-yarder. Now his son, USF three-star place kicker commit Gaston Gramatica, is pulling off similar feats to his father.
Gaston connected on a school-record 62-yard field goal in the Cambridge Christian School‘s 45-36 win over Boca Raton Christian on Friday night.
In the preseason, Gaston was named a Rivals 2025 Preseason High School Football All-American after the 2024 campaign he had for the Lancers. Gramatica last season made a then-school record 55-yard field goal and connected on all 23 extra point attempts.
According to a the Rivals Industry Rankings, the USF pledge is ranked as the No. 8 kicker in the country and No. 288 prospect in Florida of the 2026 class.
His father, Martin, played in the NFL from 1999-2008, most notably for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and was apart of the team’s Super Bowl XXXVII win in 2003. Through 104 games played in his NFL career, the older Gramatica made 155 of 203 field goals (76.4 percent) with a long of 55 yards.
Next up on the schedule for Cambridge Christian is a road tilt against Anclote (1-6).
