One of the top senior quarterback prospects in the nation will likely miss his final playoff run due to injury.

Vista Murrieta (Calif.) four-star QB Bryson Beaver has put together another impressive campaign, but he missed the Broncos’ final game of the regular season on Thursday night. On Friday, ScoopDuck’s Max Torres reported that Beaver broke a bone in his throwing hand last week in an upset win over Murrieta Valley.

Beaver is set to undergo surgery on Monday, according to Torres. The CIF Southern Section playoffs are set to begin next week. Vista Murrieta is 6-4 and ranks as the No. 28 team in the Golden State, according to the Massey Ratings. The Beaver-less Broncos lost 17-7 to Norco on Thursday night.

In nine games, the Oregon Ducks commit has thrown for 1,753 yards, 18 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Completing over 64 percent of his passes, Beaver has also rushed for over 200 yards and a pair of TDs, per MaxPreps.

Beaver has been dicing up secondaries for a while, now. He broke out as a sophomore with over 2,500 passing yards and 26 touchdowns. He took things to another level as a junior last fall with 3,214 yards through the air, 33 scores and just six picks.

In 43 high school games, Beaver has over 8,200 passing yards and 85 total scores to his name. His stock blew up this summer ahead of his senior season. He now ranks as the No. 161 overall prospect, No. 11 QB and No. 19 recruit in California this cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies.

Originally committed to Boise State, Beaver garnered national attention this summer and landed an offer from Dan Lanning and Oregon. After taking an official visit, he completed the flip and committed to the Ducks on June 25.
