West Virginia's WVSSAC realigns classifications ahead of 2025-2026

Yes, the 2024-2025 high school calendar year may have just ended around the country, but state associations have already begun releasing realigned classifications ahead of 2025-2026. The West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission (WVSSAC) recently released its realignment for all of its high school sports for ’25-26.

Enrollment numbers for WVSSAC schools throughout the Mountain State have been released, with 20 schools being placed in Class AAAA, 28 in Class AAA, 32 in Class AA and 44 in Class A, which is the most of any of the classifications.
