Wisconsin High School Football Crowns 2024 State Champions

The 2024 Wisconsin high school football season is over after completing their state championship games on Nov. 21 and 22 at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison. Seven titles were up for grabs, with four decided by seven points or less. Some games featured the Top 25 teams in the Wisconsin On3 Composite Team Rankings.

In Division 1, the Bay Port Pirates defeated the Muskego Warriors 25-18. Bay Port held a 19-0 halftime lead and never looked back, even if Muskego had converted two touchdown drives. Brady Moon led the Pirates with 241 rushing yards and three touchdowns, while Jackson Niemiec had 101 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns for the Warriors. Bay Port finished the season at 12-2, while Muskego is at 9-5.

Meanwhile, the Slinger Owls edged the Rice Lake Warriors, 31-30, to win the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Division 2 state championship. Michael Thiede’s two-yard touchdown run tied the game with 3:29 left in regulation, while Cole Martin’s point after became the winning score. In the succeeding drive, Rice Lake had an opportunity to claim the championship but turned the ball over on downs. In addition to two rushing TDs, Thiede also threw for 181 yards and a touchdown.

In Division 3, the Notre Dame Tritons outclassed Catholic Memorial 49-28. From a 21-21 tie in the second quarter, Notre Dame outscored their 28-7 opponents to win the state championship. Christian Collins dominated Catholic Memorial with 408 rushing yards and five touchdowns. Marvanous Butler-Brown was a bright spot in Catholic Memorial’s offense, finishing with 160 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Wisconsin High School Football State Championships 2024 – Nov. 21 Results

St. Catherine’s survived Baldwin-Woodville’s opposition to claim the Wisconsin high school football Division 4 state championship. The Angels raced to a 20-0 third-quarter lead and did enough to ward off the Blackhawks until the 26-22 final score. Lamont Hamilton finished with 155 receiving yards and three touchdowns for St. Catherine’s. Gavin Sell and Taden Holldorf combined for 309 rushing yards and two touchdowns for Baldwin-Woodville.

In the Division 5 state title game, Stratford neutralized Wrightstown, 21-6, to win the championship. Brooks Vanderhoof and Jack Tubbs combined for 234 rushing yards and two touchdowns for the Tigers. Trevor Vande Hey led Wrightstown with 80 passing yards, 92 rushing yards, and a touchdown.

In Division 6, Lomira held on to a 26-19 victory to claim the state crown over Grantsburg. The Lions extended their lead to 16 points, 26-10, early in the fourth quarter, and Grantsburg could not overcome the margin. Taylor Schaumberg is Lomira’s best player, tallying 216 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Ian Burkman had 68 rushing yards and two touchdowns for the Pirates.

Finally, Edgar pulled off a 19-0 shutout against Potosi to win the Wisconsin high school football Division 7 state championship. Maverick Butt had 63 total yards and two touchdowns, while Will Hackel added another touchdown for the Wildcats.
