Travis Hunter will have the opportunity to showcase his two-way football prowess with the Jacksonville Jaguars. While the National Football League is a different animal, the Jaguars believe that he’s the real deal by trading up for him.

While the older Hunter turned pro, his younger brother can leave a mark on Georgia high school football. In a video courtesy of Overtime on X (formerly Twitter), Trayvis Hunter caught three touchdown passes during his spring football game for the Effingham County Rebels.

Throughout the 13-second clip, Travis Hunter’s younger brother manifested his ball-tracking skills against bigger defenders. That trait enabled him to collect 496 receiving yards and six touchdowns in nine games during his sophomore year.

Since those numbers seem pedestrian, Trayvis Hunter ranks 63rd among the Class of 2027 wideouts, based on the On3 Industry Ranking. His 81.75 grade makes him a three-star prospect, which could improve if he has a breakout junior season. Likewise, he is the 54th-best prospect in Georgia high school football and 512th in the nation.

Consequently, Effingham County had a 6-5 finish last season, including a 3-2 home and 3-3 away record. It was good enough to earn a berth in the Georgia High School Association Class 5A state championship. However, East Paulding dominated them in the first round, 51-14.

Last March, the younger brother of Travis Hunter made noise in Overtime’s OT7 Football League. Playing for Cam Newton’s team, Trayvis Hunter caught a touchdown pass and an extra-point catch in C1N’s victory against Fleaux. Trayvis also played catch with the former NFL Most Valuable Player, who also mentored his older brother.

Unlike his older brother, who played wide receiver and cornerback, Trayvis is focusing on being a wideout. While he has two high school football years left, the younger Hunter already has offers from Jackson State and Tennessee State.
