2022 Big 12 Tournament Day 3 LIVE UPDATES: Scores, results, news

Oklahoma attempted to make a second-half comeback against Texas Tech in the Big 12 2022 Tournament semifinal on Friday night but came up just short. The Red Raiders will be advancing to the final for just the second time in program history off the back of Kevin Abanor’s 11 points.

It was a rough night for the Sooners from the three-point line, only making five of their 20 attempts. Jordan Goldwire was the key player all night, finishing with 14 points, two rebounds, and an assist. Now, Oklahoma will be waiting on Selection Sunday to see whether or not they will be placed in the NCAA Tournament.

Kansas will be heading back to the Big 12 2022 Tournament final, defeating TCU on Friday night in the semifinals. It was another offensive explosion for the Jayhawks, getting the 75-62 win in Kansas City. Ochai Agbaji was the leading scorer on both sides, having 22 points on 9-17 shooting.

As for TCU, their season is not yet over, with an NCAA Tournament at large bid expected for the Horned Frogs. Getting a win over Texas in the previous round only improved the resume and will now wait for Selection Sunday to see where they are placed.

Thursday’s games were chalk full of entertainment, and you can read a full recap from On3 here. TCU overcame a 20-point deficit to claim a 65-60 victory over fourth-seeded Texas. That was the largest comeback in the history of the conference tournament, giving the Horned Frogs a lot to live up to Friday.

No. 2 seed Baylor also went down as the seven-seeded Oklahoma Sooners won by a score of 72-67. The victory was huge for OU, which as of right now is on the wrong side of the NCAA Tournament bubble. If the Sooners can manage to also take out Texas Tech, it would do wonders for their resume.
