Four-star running back Jerrick Gibson of Gainesville (FL) IMG Academy has narrowed his list to five schools– Georgia, Miami, Tennessee, Texas, and Florida.

The 5-foot-11, 207 pounder discussed his finalists.

Georgia

“Georgia’s running backs dominate both in the NFL and in college, making them one of my top 5 schools. They’re long-lasting in the league thanks to their depth of talent and the number of players they develop.”

Miami

“Miami’s program is on the rise and my teammates are proof of that. They’re playing at a high level as true freshmen and that’s why Miami is in my top five.”

Tennessee

“Tennessee is a great place. I’ve been really impressed with their offense and coaching staff. They’ve got a lot of talent, and the fans and community are amazing.”

Texas

“Texas has a great coaching staff with a team that’s on the same page. Their fan base is amazing, and they have an RB coach with a great history of producing top-tier RBs. I’m excited to see what this team can do.”

Florida

“Growing up in Florida, the Gators have always been my favorite team. Playing for them has been a lifelong dream of mine.”

Gibson ranks as the No. 37 player in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 1 running back and the No. 6 player in the state of Florida.

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $178K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Jerrick Gibson Scouting Summary

“Highly explosive, twitched up running back prospect. Physically developed and advanced heading into his junior season. Checked in at 5-foot-10.5, 190 pounds with a rocked up build. One of the more explosive 2024 prospects in the combine setting, registering an electronically-timed 4.57 second 40 yard dash, 40.3 inch vertical and 10 foot broad jump. Moves at a different speed than many of his fellow top running backs. Carries that burst and twitch over to the field. Shows the play speed to rip off chunk runs. Also catches the ball fairly well, but can continue to improve in that area. Moderately productive as a sophomore while playing for a team with a losing record. Transferred to IMG Academy prior to his junior season. Older for the cycle, turning 17 years old during his sophomore season.”
