Some 25 years after the original, a women’s college basketball all-star game is back in the offing, set for Saturday afternoon at Cleveland State, setting the event around the Women’s Final Four. And the rosters were released on Thursday, filled with some top players from across the sport.

The rosters, which features 20 seniors who will being playing professionally after this year, naturally do not include any players from the quartet of final four teams: Iowa, NC State, South Carolina and UConn. And the two teams will be coached by a pair of women’s basketball legends, with Nancy Lieberman and Cheryl Miller marshaling “Team Lieberman” and “Team Miller,” respectively.

The game will be broadcast on ESPN2 and tipoff at 3:30 p.m. EST.

Of the 20 players participating, five were All-Americans last season and more than a dozen more earned named to respective all-conference teams. All told, 10 leagues are represented: the ACC, Big 12, Big East, and Big Ten all have three players each and the Ivy League, MAC, Missouri Valley, Pac-12, SEC and WCC each have a single player in the game.

How to watch the 2024 Women’s College All-Star Game

Date: Saturday, April 6
Time: 3:30 p.m. ET
Channel: ESPN2/ESPN streaming

So the likes of Caitlin Clark or Paige Bueckers — or even Angel Reese — won’t be on the court on Saturday afternoon, though fans can watch the first two in the Final Four the day prior. But the talent already locked in to play is more than up to snuff.

For instance, Fair, one of the All-Americans after starring as a guard at Syracuse — who led the Orange in scoring with 22.3 points per game and took it into the second round of the NCAA Tournament — is not far behind Clark on the NCAA’s all-time scoring list. While Clark took the top spot in famous fashion this season, Fair moved up to No. 5 for points in an NCAA career. It might not be the handful of mainstream stars gracing national commercials, but the 20 players set for this game might earn some more recognition with their play.

A number of major, national (and international) brands have signed on to sponsor the 2024 Women’s College All-Star Game, including State Farm, Zappos and Under Armour.
