2025 4-star IOL Peyton Joseph announces commitment date, top schools

A decision is on the horizon for Fort Valley (Ga.) Houston County four-star interior offensive lineman Peyton Joseph.
The 6-foot-3, 280-pounder announced on Friday that he is set to announce his commitment on Feb. 18. He will choose between LSU, Florida State, Florida, Michigan, Miami, Penn State and Tennessee.
Joseph is the No. 123 overall prospect and No. 5 IOL in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 18 player in Georgia.
Of his finalists, Florida State has had him on campus the most throughout his recruitment. He was last in Tallahassee for a game visit in November. Joseph told On3’s Jeremy Johnson last summer that FSU was at the top of his list.
“It’s about the relationship with coach Alex Adkins and coach Mike Norvell,” Joseph said. “The bond that we have is like nothing I’ve had before. I have a bond with Georgia also. At Florida State, they’re keeping everything real. Coach Norvell has always told me that he’s not here to recruit me. He’s here to tell me what’s real and how things are going to go when I get to college.”
Joseph also visited Florida last fall. Billy Napier, Rob Sale and the Gators staff continues to build their relationships with the blue-chipper as he now nears his college decision.

“My visit back to UF was amazing. The coaches were very welcoming toward my family and wanted to get know about everything,” Joseph told Gators Online in October.
“(Offensive coordinator) coach (Rob) Sale is a great guy along with being a great coach. Coach (Billy) Napier is one of a kind. He is a guy who is a man of his word, which amazed me.”
Georgia and Alabama were also involved in Joseph’s recruitment and looked to be in the mix, but neither SEC powerhouse made his latest cut. The Bulldogs were trending for his pledge, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).
“I had a talk with my parents and coaches about just enjoying the process and I felt like I should take coaching and take with my parents are saying and enjoy the process,” Joseph told Johnson. “Lots of programs are wanting to recruit me. I’m letting them recruit. I’m making relationships with each and every coach in programs that I feel like could be home for me.”
