2025 Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton four-star cornerback Shamar Arnoux earned an offer from Texas A&M late Monday night. Only 12 hours later, Arnoux has released a top eight list and the Aggies have made the list.

Arnoux is now focusing on Texas A&M, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida State, Michigan, Tennessee, LSU, and Ole Miss. Arnoux also says a commitment is likely ‘coming soon’. He says he doesn’t have an exact date, but Arnoux is hoping to wrap the recruiting process up soon rather than later.

Arnoux is the No. 190 overall prospect and No. 23 linebacker in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 20 player in Georgia.

Some may wonder why Texas A&M has already cracked the list after earning an offer. Well, Arnoux has had interest in the Aggies for some time, and he even visited back in September. The four-star cornerback has starred at Centennial, he’ll play his junior season at Milton High School, meaning he is now teammates with Texas A&M wide receiver commit Debron Gatling.

As mentioned above, the 6-foot-1, 175 pound defenders says he is looking to close his recruitment soon. With a Texas A&M offer now on the table and his interest already grown, the Aggies might be able to make something happen quickly.

If that were the case, I would expect a visit to be set up soon, likely for spring practices or an early summer visit. The Aggies have recruited the state of Georgia hard and landing a commitment from Arnoux would likely strengthen their relations in the state.

A crowded race for Arnoux’s commitment

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine currently has Tennessee as the favorite to land a commitment from Arnoux with the Volunteers sitting at 27.7%. Auburn comes in at second with 12.7% and Mississippi State is third with 10.9% odds.

Arnoux has an On3 NIL Valuation of $26K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Texas A&M currently doesn’t have any commitments it in its 2025 recruiting class. The Aggies do have four commitments in their 2024 recruiting class.
