Sadiq ‘AJ’ White, a 6-foot-8, 180-pound small forward out of Charlotte (NC) Myers Park, ranks as the No. 34 overall prospect in the 2025 class, according to the On3 Consensus.

The On3 Consensus is the average ranking from all four major recruiting media companies (ESPN, Rivals, 247Sports, On3).

At the City of Palms Classic in Florida, White discussed his game and talked a little about his early recruitment process.

White discusses his game

“I get downhill well and rebound,” White said when asked of his strengths. “I’m able to guard one through four, one through five so being a matchup problem on a defensive end and the offensive end.”

What does White want to improve on?

“The basics,” he says. “Ball handling, elevating my jump shot, and just getting stronger.”

Visit to NC State and future visits

White has take one college visit so far.

“I’ve been to NC State to see coach (Kevin) Keatts and coach (Joel) Justus,” White says. “I liked it a lot. I was able to see how the game expands. People are faster, stronger, and that’s the big difference, really.”

White also has a few schools in mind he’d also like to visit.

“I’d like to go to Florida State, Illinois, and Texas. I was a big UT fan growing up.”

The Longhorns have yet to offer, but here is a full list of White’s early offers: Texas A&M, South Florida, Georgia, Wake Forest, Mississippi State, LSU, Florida State, Illinois, and Virginia Tech.

Scouting Summary

“Sadiq White has a lot of physical tools,” On3’s Jamie Shaw writes. “At 6-foot-7, he has long arms, broad shoulders, and an explosively athletic frame. Out in transition is where White is at his best, filling the lanes and racing toward the rim. When locked in, there is the upside to becoming an excellent defender. He can move his feet on the ball and get in the passing lanes off the ball. Offensively, White will have to develop his ball handling and ability to get by his man, especially going right. The jump shot is streaky right now, both with his release and balance point. Still young, with a lot of natural tools, the upside is apparent as he is on a high major trajectory.”
