2027 4-star LB Max Brown commits to Clemson, where his brother plays

Jefferson (Ga.) linebacker Max Brown has over two dozen offers, but his most recent one, was the one he has been waiting for. Clemson offered earlier this week and his recruitment ended quickly.
Even before his brother, former five-star linebacker Sammy Brown, committed to Clemson, the younger Brown was a fan of the Tigers. He has been camping in Death Valley since he was around 8-9 years old.
This decision was easy.
“Clemson is just the best place to be,” Brown told On3. “They do it right on every aspect. They prepare you not only to win a national championship but for life after football as well.
“During the process, I was trying to keep it unbiased, but deep down I knew it was always them.”
The day (June 1) he got the offer, he made his decision. It was really already made. The No. 229 prospect in the 2027 On3 Industry Ranking knew where his heart was.
“I’ve liked Clemson my entire life. What I like most about Clemson are the people who run it. The proximity to home is great too and the way they help you for after football was so important. The historic winning stands out as well.

“With my brother being there, it’s just icing on the cake. Not only am I getting a great education and going to a historically great football school, but I’m getting to do all of that with my brother.”
It is right up the road from home. He has visited Clemson close to 30 times between camps as a kid, going with his brother on recruiting trips, seeing his brother play in games and visiting himself as a blue-chipper.
“Clemson just has that small town vibe that you can’t find anywhere else,” Brown said. “That small road holds so much culture and it’s very obvious when you step foot on campus that everybody there is a diehard Clemson fan.”
Auburn, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Ohio State were some other schools on Brown’s radar.
