St. Louis (Mo.) Christian Brothers College defensive lineman Tyler Gant is set for a busy weekend.

Gant has drawn offers from across the Midwest and Southeast. He said in mid-February he was hoping to see Michigan and Northwestern in March. He said he was also hoping to visit Arkansas, Illinois, Colorado, Vanderbilt and West Virginia in the month of April.

Now we know for sure where he’ll be this weekend.

Gant tweeted Thursday he’ll be at Northwestern on Saturday and then at Michigan on Sunday for visits.

The 6-foot-3, 262-pounder is the No. 474 prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 57 defensive lineman and the No. 13 junior prospect in Missouri.

Everybody on his spring visit list, other than Michigan, has offered him a scholarship.

Tyler Gant busy with visits

Last week Gant was at Iowa and Wisconsin. He gushed about both his trips to reporters and on social media. The visits to Iowa City and Madison were his third visits to both schools.

He was especially high on his trip to Iowa City.

“I had a great visit,” Gant told HawkeyeReport.com. “We got to do a photoshoot and then we ate lunch with the coaches. After lunch, we took a facility tour and after that, I had a one-on-one talk with the head coach.

“This visit stood out because this time I got to ask questions to a player panel, which was good to see their perspective on Iowa football.”

He also was positive about his trip to Madison, calling the visit “dope” and giving high marks to the weight room, photoshoot and time with the coaching staff.

Tyler Gant has visited a lot of schools

Tyler Gant has been a busy traveler over the past year, hitting numerous college campuses for summer and game-day visits. Gant took trips to Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Iowa State, and Kansas State over the summer. During the fall college football season, he returned to check out Arkansas, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas State, and Wisconsin while taking additional trips to Illinois, Notre Dame and Kansas.

In December, Tyler Gant named his top five schools at the time, and they included Kentucky, Iowa State, Arkansas, Iowa, and Wisconsin. Iowa and Wisconsin are currently listed as the two top teams on his list, per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. Both schools have a 26% chance of eventually landing him.

During his junior year at Christian Brothers College High School, Tyler Gant registered 73 tackles, 15 for loss, five sacks, and two interceptions. He also helped lead CBC to a Missouri state championship victory.
