4-star OT Malakai Lee names top 6 schools

Honolulu (Hawaii) Kamehameha four-star offensive tackle Malakai Lee is down to six schools in his recruitment, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Friday.
Michigan, BYU, USC, Alabama, Georgia and Texas are the remaining schools on his list. He visited a few of the contenders this fall and hosted multiple coaches during the winter visit period.
Both Michigan and USC were in during the final week of January, while Texas and BYU each sent staffers earlier in the month. Around that time, he was re-offered by the Crimson Tide as well.
At 6-foot-7, 310 pounds, Lee is ranked as the No. 10 offensive tackle and No. 112 overall prospect nationally, per the On3 Industry Ranking. He is also ranked as the No. 1 overall recruit in the state of Hawaii for next cycle.
Lee recently broke down his relationship with the Wolverines
Newsome has become a top target for each of the six aforementioned programs, and despite being a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints, he told On3’s EJ Holland that he will be forgoing the traditional two-year mission after he graduates high school.

That makes him an even bigger priority for schools, and the Wolverines are currently leading the way in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).
“They are pretty high up there,” Lee told Holland. “Michigan has been a high recruiting factor for me. They’ve been texting me every day. They call me and check up on me. They’ve just been making me feel at home so far.”
The Trojans, meanwhile, have turned up the heat on him recently with multiple assistants visiting him in January. He visited USC at the end of November as well, and now Lincoln Riley and Co. will look to lock in an official visit.
