Seattle O’Dea four-star interior offensive lineman Isendre Aufau committed to Texas A&M over the weekend and the running back he blocks for may not be too far behind. Jason Brown has never had a specific timeline that he wanted to commit in, but he is starting to get that feeling.

“I have always been someone that goes off feel,” Brown told On3. “I have just gone through the recruiting process and never had a clear date or time that I wanted to commit. It looks like my decision will come before the season now though. I am getting a little closer and I am starting to get better thought about it.”

Brown is still not certain of the exact date and he doesn’t know the school yet, but the No. 153 prospect in the On3 Industry Rankings knows he commit soon to one of three schools.

“My top three schools are Michigan State, Oregon and Washington. It will be one of those three schools. I am still thinking about it and weighing the pros and cons. I like all three schools and I am working to figure out which is not only the best football, but successful life after football too.”

Brown talks Michigan State, Oregon and Washington

The only school Brown visited officially was Michigan State. The Spartans have done an excellent job recruiting the playmaker in the pacific northwest.

“It is about relationships with Michigan State. From Coach Mel Tucker to the who staff, they have always been welcoming. They treat me and my family very well and they do a great job of making us feel at home. I really like East Lansing and the coaches have been great.”

Oregon had Brown on campus late in July. Washington is the local school he has visited double-digit times.

“Playing for the city hits a little differently for me. Going to Washington would mean me staying home. I would get to play in front of the community I grew up in. The relationships I have there are good too.

“I was back at Oregon in July to workout at the camp and really see how I would be used in their offense and coached by the coaches. It went really well. I like how they use their backs, get their backs in space and move them around. Oregon is building something there too and that stands out.”
