Miami (Fla.) Northwestern four-star wide receiver Andy Jean has named Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Penn State, Pitt and Texas A&M as his top eight schools, he told On3’s Joseph Hastings.

Jean is No. 302 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

But Jean is ranked much higher in the 2023 On300 ranking, where he is ranked the No. 110 prospect in the class. On3 views Jean the highest among the major recruiting media companies, according to the Industry Comparison Tool.

Jean has two official visits coming up in June to two of those eight schools: Penn State on June 10 and Florida on June 24.

The Nittany Lions make Jean’s list because of the academics at the school, their consistency sending good wideouts to the NFL and the opportunity to play in front of 100,000 screaming fans.

As for the Gators, Jean has been really impressed by new head coach Billy Napier, saying the young coach has got the “drip.”

“Coach Napier a cool dude, young guy,” Jean said. “He just got good energy.”

Andy Jean loves the SEC

Five of the eight schools in Jean’s top eight come from the SEC. That is not surprising considering Jean’s feelings on the conference.

“I love the SEC,” Jean said. “I want to be part of a big-time school. I’m a big-time player.”

One school that believes Jean is a big-time player is Texas A&M.

Jean was in College Station, Texas, in April and loved the atmosphere at the school.

“They said I can change the game,” Jean said. “They love how I play. They know I’m a dog.”

The Crimson Tide are one of Jean’s more recent offers.

Another school Jean really likes and enjoys being at is Alabama’s opponent in the past national championship: Georgia.

“My interest in Georgia was always high,” Jean said. “I love Georgia.”

Jean said NIL will be a big factor in his recruitment

Andy Jean is about his hopes to land a good NIL deal.

“I want my NIL to be big,” Jean said.

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $16.2k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
