Phenix City (Ala.) Central five-star wide receiver Cam Coleman has narrowed his list of top schools down to eight. Coleman’s list includes Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU and Texas A&M.

Coleman is the No. 10 overall prospect and No. 3 wide receiver in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 1 player in Alabama.

On3 rates Coleman higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 6 overall prospect, No. 2 wide receiver and No. 1 player in Alabama.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), Auburn is the heavy favorite to land his commitment. The Tigers sit with a 77.9% chance to land his pledge.

“I probably have the best relationship with Marcus Davis,” Coleman told On3’s Chad Simmons in early May. “We talk about everything, especially stuff outside of football. They are recruiting me the hardest. I have a bond with Coach Davis and Hugh Freeze always talks about he wants to be the head coach that I talk to the most. Auburn is really coming after me hard.”

The 6-foot-3.5, 185-pound pass-catcher’s taken official visits to three of the schools in his top eight already and is set to take an official to LSU on June 23. This month he’s visited Clemson (June 2), Auburn (June 13) and Texas A&M (June 16).

He was also able to spend time at Florida State earlier in the month following a camp.

“It was a great opportunity from Coach Norvell to Coach Dugans — they taught me some stuff I can apply as a player in this little amount of time,” Coleman told Warchant. “It was a lot of coaching. They helped me with my stance and getting on the top of my routes. And breaks to change the tempos in my route.”

Coleman currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $207K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
