Shawn Phillips, a 7-foot, 255-pound center out of Glendale (Ariz.) Dream City Christian, tells On3 he’s down to five choices — Georgetown, Kansas State, LSU, Miami, and the Overtime Elite league.

Less than a month ago, the four-star big man decommitted from NC State.

“I would first like to say thanks to Coach Keatts and the staff for recruiting me and giving me the opportunity to play at NC State. Thanks also to the fans and everyone who gave endless support throughout this time. But due to recent staff changes, I will be decommitting from NC State and re-opening my recruitment. Time to find a new home,” Phillips said in a statement to On3.

The On3 Consensus – a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies – ranks Phillips as the No. 123 overall prospect in the country, and the No. 19 ranked center. On3’s evaluators are even higher on Phillips, ranking him the No. 101 overall prospect in the class.

Kansas State gets first official, schedules two more

Last weekend, Phillips tripped to Kansas State for his first official visit since reopening his recruitment.

Phillips will take two more college visits before making a commitment on May 17th. The 7-foot big man will be on campus at LSU this weekend, followed up by Georgetown the following weekend.
